For pools where a standard motor offset is not practical, the Atom provides a space-saving alternative without downsizing the cover surface area.
The Atom is typically specified when vault space or structural conditions limit motor offset dimensions. Proper vault sizing, track alignment, drainage planning, and structural coordination must still be addressed prior to installation.
Coverstar fabric selections and lid options, including aluminum, flat, flush, and walk-on configurations, allow integration with different coping and deck designs. Track configurations must be selected early to ensure proper alignment with the pool structure.
We confirm field measurements and coordinate installation according to Coverstar specifications to ensure the system integrates cleanly and operates correctly at startup.
The Atom features a corrosion-resistant stainless-steel mechanism with a tuck-under motor configuration. Its low-offset design reduces the required motor space to approximately 24 inches, compared to the typical 30 to 36 inches of standard systems.
The motor assembly includes a torque limiter to help regulate system load during operation. The clutch-driven motor design and hardened steel gear box transfer power efficiently while supporting long-term durability.
Despite its compact configuration, the Atom is engineered to operate full-size safety covers up to 20 feet by 50 feet.
