About Aqua Safe Automatic Pool Covers

AquaSafe Automatic Pool Covers was built around a simple principle: Be Safe with a Cover. Not only in terms of pool safety, but in how every system is designed, installed, and supported. The cover should fit correctly, operate the way it’s supposed to, and be backed by local service when it’s needed.

We work with pool builders who want a dedicated automatic cover partner. Not a pool company that “also does covers.” Not a distributor that ships parts and disappears. This company was built specifically to focus on covers — designing them correctly, installing them properly, and standing behind them after the job is complete.

Our History

AquaSafe started with a simple realization. Automatic pool covers are not a side task. They require attention to detail, technical understanding, and follow-through long after installation day. Builders needed a partner who treated covers as the primary work, not something that “also gets done.”

That focus did not happen overnight. It was built on more than twenty years of hands-on experience installing automatic covers in real jobsite conditions. Over time, that consistency and field experience led to formal recognition as an authorized Aquamatic and Coverstar installer and warranty service provider. Those relationships are not handed out casually. They come from doing the work correctly and standing behind it.

As the company developed, the technical foundation strengthened as well. A Certified Service Professional® and a Certified Pool Operator® are on staff, which means the work is approached with a clear understanding of how covers interact with structure, water, mechanics, and long-term system performance. That awareness shows up before installation begins and continues long after startup.

Of course, not every project is straightforward. Some are simple. Others involve tight vaults, renovations, or unique geometries where field conditions do not perfectly match the drawings. That is where experience matters. Around jobsites, that kind of practical critical thinking sometimes gets called “MacGyver” problem-solving. It is not about improvising. It is about installers who can look at what is in front of them, think it through carefully, and deliver a solution that is clean, safe, and serviceable.

In fact, during one installation, a method was developed to conceal the leading-edge bar more cleanly within the structure. That improvement was later shared back with the manufacturer. The goal was not to reinvent anything. It was simply to make the finished result better.

Today, AquaSafe serves builders across Lower Michigan and Northern Indiana with design, installation, warranty coordination, service, and repair for automatic pool covers of all kinds and configurations. The work is handled in-house, and the standard does not shift from project to project.
