The Lift Lid is Aquamatic’s hydraulically actuated lid system designed to conceal the cover vault at the pool edge while maintaining a solid walking surface.
The system rests on a lowered bond beam and incorporates the surrounding coping or decking material. When closed, it provides a stable, zero-deflection surface suitable for normal foot traffic. This makes it especially useful when the cover vault is located at a primary entry point of the pool.
One of the defining features of the Lift Lid is that it conceals both the lowered bond beam and the leading-edge bar of the cover. The cover vinyl is secured between nylon rails that also function as a water stop, reducing splash water from entering the cover recess.
Operation is hydraulic. With a turn of the key, the lid raises, allowing the cover to open or close. When the cover reaches its endpoint, or when the key is released, the lid lowers back into position, restoring a flush and stable walking surface.
When specified and installed correctly, the Lift Lid provides a concealed, integrated vault solution within the Aquamatic system lineup.

I’ve been installing automatic pool covers for over 10 years, working on everything from straightforward builds to complex vanishing edge and perimeter overflow projects. I have hands-on experience with hidden track systems, concealed vault lids, hidden leading edge installations, and specialty finishes like stone and tile lids with stainless steel trays.
