Hydramatic Pool Cover System

The Hydramatic is Aquamatic’s hydraulic automatic pool cover system. Unlike electric motor systems mounted at the reel, the Hydramatic uses a closed-loop hydraulic drive. The motors that move the cover are hydraulic, and the electrical components remain remote at the equipment pad.

This design removes electric motors and switching components from the cover vault, which can be beneficial in wet environments or projects where long-term durability is a priority.

The system uses a dual hydraulic drive. One motor opens the cover and one motor closes it. Direction is controlled by a key switch that actuates a hydraulic valve. The drive system does not rely on a traditional clutch and does not require lubrication. Built-in pressure relief valves eliminate the need for electrical limit sensors near the pool.

Hydraulics are widely used in heavy equipment for durability and reliability. In the Hydramatic system, the drive operates in a sealed loop. A drain is still required in the cover recess, but incidental water exposure does not place an electric motor inside the vault at risk.

Another integrated feature is rainwater management. When the cover is opened, accumulated rainwater is directed through built-in mesh screens and into the pool, helping prevent standing water from collecting on the surface.

The Hydramatic is UL tested and certified to exceed ASTM F1346-91 safety standards for pool covers when installed according to manufacturer specifications.

When we design and install a Hydramatic system, we focus on proper vault sizing, hydraulic line routing, track alignment, and long-term service access so the system operates as intended from startup forward.

Hydramatic Warranty

The Hydramatic cover system includes a twenty-year limited warranty on the drive mechanism and a seven-year limited warranty on the cover fabric, provided by Aquamatic Cover Systems.

As an authorized Aquamatic installer, we coordinate directly with the manufacturer when warranty matters arise. Warranty coverage applies to the original pool owner and follows Aquamatic’s published limited warranty terms.

Specific coverage details, exclusions, and conditions are governed by Aquamatic Cover Systems.
