Coverstar Pool Covers Options & Features

Coverstar automatic pool covers offer multiple configuration options to match different pool structures and design requirements. Fabric selection, track systems, coping styles, and control switches must be coordinated with the build to ensure proper fit and integration.

These selections should be finalized during structural planning so vault layout, track alignment, and electrical routing are handled correctly.

Fabric & Webbing

Coverstar covers use a heat-sealed webbing system that bonds the webbing to the cover material in a single process. This construction method is designed to improve attachment strength along stress points.

The fabric is manufactured from heavy-duty vinyl material engineered for durability and environmental exposure. Specifications include:

  • Ultraviolet protection
  • Chemical resistance
  • Mildew resistance
  • 17 oz fabric weight
  • Tear resistance
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Minimal fabric shrinkage (less than 1%)
  • Color-matched, heat-sealed webbing

Track Systems

Automatic pool cover tracks must be installed in a rectangular configuration to allow proper open and close operation. Coverstar offers several track systems to accommodate new construction, renovation, and freeform layouts.

Under Track Systems

Installed beneath the deck, either encapsulated into the pool wall or mounted under coping. Commonly used in new construction or deck resurfacing projects where a concealed appearance is preferred. Encapsulated systems can also support pool-in-pool applications effectively.

Standard Top Track Systems

Surface-mounted directly onto the finished deck, sitting approximately ½ inch above the surface. Often used on existing pools or in situations where a recessed installation is not practical. This option provides reliable functionality without modifying existing decking.

Recessed Top Track Systems

Aluminum track embedded into the deck for a smooth, flush appearance. Available in horizontal, vertical, and screw-down configurations. Choice depends on project conditions and structural access requirements. Ideal for projects seeking a clean, integrated look.

Coping Options

Coping style directly impacts track positioning and structural layout. Coverstar offers both aluminum and concrete coping configurations.

Aluminum Coping Styles

  • Inclined (Vinyl Liner Only)
  • Rounded (Vinyl Liner or Fiberglass)
  • P-Shaped (Vinyl Liner Only)

Concrete Coping Styles

  • Inclined (All Pool Types)
  • Cantilever (All Pool Types)
  • Extreme Cantilever (All Pool Types)

Coping must be selected before structural work is finalized to ensure proper system alignment.

Control Switch Options

Coverstar systems offer three weatherproof control switch configurations.

Touch Screen Controller

Four-digit PIN code access for cover operation.

Rocker
Switch

Keyed switch using momentary action to open and close the cover

Key
Switch

Traditional keyed control with momentary action for safety compliance.

Electrical placement and conduit routing should be coordinated during construction.
