The EZ Cover is Aquamatic’s manual safety cover system designed to provide safety coverage without a hydraulic or electric drive mechanism. It is operated manually from a standing position and is designed so one person can open or close the cover without ropes, drills, or cranks.
The system moves along tracks similar to an automatic cover but does not use a motorized drive. Aquamatic states most pools can be covered or uncovered in approximately 70 seconds under normal conditions.
The EZ Cover exceeds ASTM F1346-91 safety standards for pool safety. It does not place electrical components near the pool.
One of the practical advantages of the EZ Cover is that it shares structural components with the Hydramatic system. If a project begins with a manual cover and later converts to an automatic system, that transition can often be completed with less structural modification than starting over.
The EZ Cover carries a seven-year limited warranty on the fabric and a lifetime limited warranty on the mechanism, as provided by Aquamatic Cover Systems.
It can be installed below deck and is compatible with Aquamatic’s in-wall receptor systems for concrete, gunite, and fiberglass pools.
For projects where a full hydraulic automatic system is not required but safety compliance is, the EZ Cover provides a manual alternative within the Aquamatic product line.

I’ve been installing automatic pool covers for over 10 years, working on everything from straightforward builds to complex vanishing edge and perimeter overflow projects. I have hands-on experience with hidden track systems, concealed vault lids, hidden leading edge installations, and specialty finishes like stone and tile lids with stainless steel trays.
